2011-03 Luzern
Short visit to Luzern, a very nice city of Switzerland, where I felt like home specially for the good care that the Gwerder family took of me. Special thanks to Irene, Felice, Jacquie and Aline for having me at her lovely home.
And very special thanks for all the great local food they prepared !
I was very lucky to visit in one of the best dates, the Carnival!.
The people here really live it very intense and take their costumes very seriously. And all the city and their neighbourhoods are filled with music bands and parades where you can also enjoy food and drinks. The local drink specially made for the Carnival, the Holdrio, is just delicious and revitalizing.
The sisters took me with their friends to a carnival party in a beautiful building that looked like a palace. The perfect place for a carnival. Inside it were also local folk bands playing and they cheered up the incoming people to join the party in the best mood.
About the city, its a perfect sized one, with not too many people but very alive place. Its also thanks to the good vibrations that the swiss people communicate. You can feel the respect and sympathy on their smiles and how friendly they are.
On the tourist day tour, Aline took me to walk around the city, to taste local food, to watch a movie and do other activities at the IMAX, and enjoy local bands playing carnival songs on the streets.
